DISCUSSION:
Clarification has been added to sections 1840.010.15 Access To Affordable Health Insurance and 1840.010.15.10 Employer Sponsored Insurance of the Family MO HealthNet (MAGI) manual. Both sections now state that:
- If an individual does not meet the criteria to be eligible for employer sponsored or group membership insurance at the time of application, such as hours worked or length of membership, then the insurance is not available to that person.
- It is the participant’s responsibility to report any changes that could affect his or her eligibility within ten days of the change.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with the appropriate staff.
