1105.035.40 Regaining Food Stamp Eligibility
DISCUSSION:
The Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) has provided clarification of the ABAWD policy to ABAWDs who have filed expedited applications and are required to regain eligibility prior to receiving benefits. The manual has been updated to read; when an EU member is working or participating in a training program at the time of application and has not yet met the 80 hour requirement, enter an N for the, Have you or will you have worked or participated in a work program for 80 hours in a 30-day period, question on the WORKREQ (FMMR) screen and let the application reject. If verification is provided of the 80 hour requirement, the case can be cancel rejected. The client can reapply if cancel reject is no longer an option.
