IM-71  06/02/99  MC+ PREMIUM INCREASE

MC+ PREMIUM INCREASE
 
DISCUSSION:
Effective July 1, 1999 the premium for MC+ children with income above 225% will increase to $68 per month.  Families approved prior to June 1, 1999 will be notified in writing by First Health of the premium increase.  The premium amount for families approved in June will depend on when it is paid.  If paid in June it will be $65.  If paid in July, it will be $68.

Approval letters (IM-32PRM) sent in June will need to reflect the two premium amounts.  The electronic version will be changed to include the following sentence: "Effective July 1, 1999, the premium will increase to $68 per month".  If the electronic version is not used, please write the sentence on the IM-32PRM at the end of the PREMIUM PAYMENTS paragraph.  The IM-32PRM will be revised by July 1, 1999 to reflect the $68.  This version will be available both in hardcopy and in electronic version.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Share this memorandum with appropriate staff.

  • Use the correct IM-32PRM for the appropriate month of  approval.
