| DISCUSSION: |
| A new MC+ card has been produced to replace
the red Medicaid card for new recipients of all C types of assistance,
MPW, and Refugee Assistance. All other Income Maintenance Medicaid
recipients (PTD, OAA, AB, MA, etc.) will continue to receive the traditional
red Medicaid card. The new MC+ cards, will be red with white lettering
and a gold bar. The card will have "MISSOURI MC+" across the top
front.
The issuance of the MC+ cards is scheduled to begin 06/21/99. At this time there are no plans to do a mass issuance to replace the old Medicaid cards. Any recipient in one of the affected eligibility groups who requests a new card will be sent the MC+ card. |
