CHILD CARE AND DEVELOPMENT FUND STATE PUBLIC HEARINGS

DISCUSSION:
The Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division, will be conducting state public hearings to discuss the implementation of the Child Care and Development Fund for fiscal years 2008 and 2009. All interested staff, child care providers, parents and the general public are invited to attend. Representatives from the Missouri Department of Social Services, Department of Health and Senior Services, and Department of Elementary and Secondary Education will be in attendance and available to answer questions regarding Missouri's biennial state plan.
There will be a total of six public hearings around Missouri. A copy of the public notice, identifying the date, location and time for each hearing is available at the DSS internet site at https://dss.mo.gov/cd/early/notice.htm.
In order to reach as many eligible families as possible, a flyer has been developed to display in the lobby area of local CD/FSD offices. Please print a copy of the attached flyer 
and display it in your lobby area so that families visiting your office may be informed of these meetings.
A draft copy of the Child Care and Development Fund state plan is available at https://dss.mo.gov/cd/childcare/ccdplan.htm. Please refer interested individuals to this web site for more information about the state plan.
