In determining need, it is necessary to arrive at the most accurate projection possible of the household’s gross monthly income. Participant’s statements must be independently verified, using the best information available. Verification and case recording must support, to the greatest extent possible, that all sources of income have been identified, and that the budgeted amounts are accurate.
Note: Although application interviews are not required for MO HealthNet (MHN) cases, it may be necessary to contact the participant to clarify information obtained from the verification provided.
