The participant must make satisfactory progress to continue receiving child care based on an educational or training need. “Satisfactory progress” is:
At least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent on another scale for the purpose of post-secondary education eligibility.As determined by the educational or training program for the purpose of Adult Education and Literacy (AEL), General Education Development (GED), English as a Second Language (ESL), and Training child care need components.
Prior to application or at the participant’s reapplication for Child Care Assistance:
Verify that a valid need for child care exists/continues to exist. Hard copy documentation is the required method of verification.Document in a comment off the CCNEED (FMAC) screen in FAMIS that the participant maintained/is maintaining satisfactory progress.
