0150.040.00 Availability of Benefits

The time of availability for cash and food stamps is 6:00 a.m. on the benefit availability date.

The participant must be advised of the availability date for each benefit being authorized:

Temporary Assistance Cash (daily benefit authorizations) – allow five calendar days following caseworker’s authorization for benefits via IMU5 system.

Temporary Assistance Cash (regular payroll) – use the following regular payroll schedule:

TRE – allow 5 calendar days following the caseworker’s authorization for benefits via IMU5 system.

Food Stamps (daily benefit authorizations after the regular available date and expedited benefits) – show as available one calendar day following the authorization. Second month expedited benefits are available the first day of the month.

If there are transmission problems, the issuance may not be available until the second day after the date of request. If a delay occurs, the Payment History screen (FM5F) in FAMIS will be changed to reflect the correct availability date.

Food Stamps (daily benefit authorizations issued before the regular available date, monthly supplemental benefits, and regular payroll) – use the following regular payroll schedule:

The regular payroll availability date is based on the payee’s birth month and is available on that date even if it is a Sunday or a holiday.
