Failure to pay the premium at initial approval or a level of care change from non-premium to premium will not impose a penalty period. Children remain eligible due to Continuous Eligibility for Children (CEC) but have no coverage until the initial premium has been paid.
Note: The CEC period begins at approval. Coverage, granted by MO HealthNet Division (MHD), begins once the first premium payment is paid. Refer to 1805.070.00 Continuous Eligibility for Children (CEC).
