SkillUP components are offered by SkillUP providers for mandatory or voluntary work registrants.
The eligibility system sends a nightly batch report to Division of Higher Education and Workforce Development’s (DHEWD) case management system (MoJobs) of participants currently receiving SNAP benefits and participants that their cases have closed. The nightly batch identifies ABAWDS or Volunteers (which includes exempt ABAWDs) in M0Jobs. All SkillUP providers track activities for their participants in MoJobs.
The following are valid components for the SkillUP program and count toward the ABAWDs 80 hour requirement to continue to receive SNAP benefits:

The DHEWD also offers the following services which do not count toward the ABAWDs 80 hour requirement:
- Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Career Service Registration: An introduction and orientation to engage the participant in Job Center services designed to accomplish the purpose of the Employment and Training program. For DHEWD, each SkillUP participant must:
- Be enrolled in WIOA Adult Career and Wagner-Peyser registration services;
- Complete an initial skills assessment;
- Receive an orientation to Job Center services;
- Be provided Labor Marker information; and
- Begin an Employment Plan.
