1135.005.35 Shelters for BATTERED WOMEN AND CHILDREN

IM-#93 September 16, 2004

Shelters for battered women and children include public or private non-profit residential facilities serving battered women and their children. If such a facility serves other individuals, a portion of the facility must be set aside on a long-term basis to serve only battered women and children. If the center does not meet the criteria above, reject the application using WIRJ with reason ineligible living arrangements (ILA). Refer to the Worker Initiated Rejection user guide for instructions.
