Individuals who qualify for MO HealthNet and who live in a nursing facility, institution for the developmentally disabled or certain mental health facilities may qualify to have all or part of their institutional costs paid by MO HealthNet directly to the facility. These payments are called “vendor payments.”
Individuals who qualify for vendor payments also receive MO HealthNet to pay for the cost of covered medical expenses that would be covered if the person were not in an institution such as doctor visits.
