If a participant requests MHN coverage and any type of MHABD cash program at the same time, process the applications together. If all information is received to approve the MHN case before all necessary information needed to determine eligibility for the cash program is received, approve the MHN case. When the information is received to complete the cash determination and eligibility is determined, authorize approval or rejection, and send a notice advising the participant of the change.
An active MHABD program participant may use the MO HealthNet Application Addendum: Request to Add Cash Benefits (IM-1MAC) to apply for the following programs:
- Supplemental Nursing Care (SNC)
- Supplemental Aid to the Blind (SAB)
- Blind Pension (BP)
The IM-1MAC is NOT a stand-alone application and can only be used for participants who:
- have active MHABD coverage; OR
- have a pending MHABD application
