A hearing officer or court of law may set the amount of the allotment at a higher figure than the maximum allowed by this policy. If a hearing decision or court order sets a higher figure, use that amount in the surplus computation. See the Allotments user guide. Retain a copy of the hearing decision or court order in the record.
