MO HealthNet for the Aged, Blind, and Disabled (MHABD) Manual

State Office will notify county offices when a claimant loses SSA 1619 status.  When notified, the worker will:

1. Follow pre-closing ex parte procedures in 0840.015.05 Pre-closing Ex Parte Review to determine eligibility for other Medicaid categories.
2. If the case remains eligible as a non-spenddown, record the information in the case record and enter an IMU5 transaction with the updated information from the budget (IM-30A).
3. If the case becomes spenddown, follow the instructions in 0840.010.10 Non-Spend Down to Spend Down.
