The QMB program became effective in Missouri on July 1, 1989.
The purpose of the QMB program is to assist participants by paying their Medicare Part A and Part B premiums, as well as paying the costs of Medicare coinsurance, copayments, and deductibles.
Note: Enrollment in QMB is automatic for eligible MO HealthNet (MHN) participants. A participant may choose to close QMB coverage.
