IM-131 07/19/01 SPECIAL INITIATIVE PROCESS
SUBJECT: |
SPECIAL INITIATIVE PROCESS |
DISCUSSION: |
The food stamp Special Initiative Review
process is being modified to provide county and area staff access to more
timely and concise data analysis. Quality Assurance (QA) Staff will
collect and analyze data according to our review plan and as special projects
are identified. As analysis of data relative to a specific topic
is completed, a report will be provided to the county, area, and/or central
office staff. A discussion will be held quarterly between QA and
area/county administration to answer any questions and address any necessary
corrective action.
At the end of the federal fiscal year, these reports will be combined and summarized, then sent to the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) as required. A copy of the final report will be sent to area offices. Quality Assurance Staff will continue to work with area/county staff to customize data collection to the area's particular needs. To facilitate this, each Big 16 county will have one or more lead analysts assigned to them. These analysts will support the area's other counties, as well. Quality Assurance Staff will contact area administration to introduce lead analysts and schedule quarterly discussions. |
