CARS-1/1A INSTRUCTIONS
 
DISCUSSION:
Due to changes in Claims Accounting and Restitution System (CARS) procedures for processing food stamp claims, effective immediately, do not use the CARS-1/1A form or instructions to process a food stamp claim.  The form and instructions remain applicable to all the Income Maintenance programs.

The CARS-1/1A Code Sheet is currently being revised for online use.  We will notify staff when it becomes available.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Discuss this memorandum with all appropriate staff.
