DISCUSSION:
Division of Medical Services has revised the Health Insurance Premium Payment Program informational pamphlet.  This pamphlet should be provided to recipients applying for or receiving MC+/Medicaid if they currently have health insurance coverage or health insurance coverage is available.

An initial supply is being sent to each county office.  Additional supplies may be ordered from the warehouse.

References to use of the HIPP pamphlet have been added to appropriate sections of the Application Processing Manual available on the Intranet.

Section 0105.025.15.20 MC+ for Non-Custodial Parent became obsolete July 1, 2002.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Destroy all HIPP pamphlets without a 4/02 date.

    •  
  • Begin using the new pamphlet upon receipt of an initial supply.
