CHANGE IN GENERATION DATE OF THE CHILD CARE RECERTIFICATION FORMS; FA-502 AND MANUAL REVISION #27
DISCUSSION:
The Child Care recertification form, FA-502, for eligibility units whose certification ends
August 31, 2002, are delayed.  These notices were mailed the week of August 12, 2002. 

Because of the delay in this notice, families may reapply for assistance through September 16, 2002, and have no lapse in coverage.  The application date for these families may be backdated to September 1, 2002.

Future recertification forms will be generated forty-five (45) days prior to the end of the eligibility unit's certification period. Recertification forms will be generated on the fifteenth day of each month.

Example:  Families whose child care certification ends September 30, 2002, will have their recertification forms generated on August 15, 2002. 

The revised Child Care policy manual page is attached.
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review with all appropriate staff.
  • Ensure that eligible child care families whose certification expires on August 31, 2002, and reapply through September 16, 2002, have no lapse in services.
  • File the revised Section 1230.045.00 in your office copy of the paper manual.
