CODE-1 EDITS ON FSU5
 
DISCUSSION:
Effective September 23, 2002, the food stamp address will be checked against the CODE-1 database any time an entry is made on FSU5, even if the address is not changed.  When the case is checked for edits, the system will: 
  • accept the address,
  • update the address to meet CODE-1 requirements, or
  • display an on-line edit if the address is not CODE-1 compatible.
If the address does not meet CODE-1 requirements, review the address and update if necessary.  If the correct address will not pass CODE-1, contact the Food Stamp Program and Policy Unit at 573-522-2317 to override the address in FSU5.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review this memorandum with appropriate staff. 
  •  Review on-line edits due to CODE-1 errors, and correct the address, or request an override.
