Effective immediately, the following codes
have been added to IAPP and Field 43 of FSU5 and are used for non-citizens
who are not eligible for food stamps for the following reasons:

Code "I", Ineligible Alien, is added.
This code is used when an alien does not meet the eligibility criteria
for the Food Stamp Program.

Code "T", Temporary Immigrant, is added.
This code is used for immigrants lawfully admitted but only for a temporary
or specific period of time. Follow policy outlined in Food Stamp
Manual Section 1105.010.30.

Code "U", Undocumented-Illegal, is added.
This code is used for individuals who are in the United States illegally
or do not provide documentation.
These codes are for the Food Stamp Program
only and are listed on the new FSU5
