DISCUSSION:
The Temporary Assistance Manual has been updated to reflect the following changes: 

Section 0205.025.00 - Relationship of Payee To Child now includes the following statement under #3:

(biological relatives of an adopted child remain eligible payees, but adoption will sever all biological relationships for purposes of mandatory assistance group members.)
Section 0210.005.00 - Person Whose Income And Needs To Consider now includes the following Note:
Adoption severs all biological relationships for purposes of mandatory assistance group members.
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review memorandum with appropriate staff.
  • File attached revised manual pages in the Temporary Assistance/Case Management Manual.
