Congratulations to Greene County for achieving
the greatest payment accuracy among the largest project areas in the Mountain
Plains Region, Federal Fiscal Year 2001 (October 1, 2000 to September 30,
2001)! The Mountain Plains Region (MPR) of the Food and Nutrition
Service (FNS) includes Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota,
Montana, Utah, Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming. To qualify in this
group, the project area/county must have a minimum of 30 Quality Control
reviews for the year.
Greene County's final payment accuracy rate for FFY 2001 is 98.24 percent. Located in Area 4, Greene County includes the Springfield area and has the fourth largest food stamp participation in Missouri. The award was presented to Frank Floyd, County Director, on June 26, 2002, at the MPR Conference in Kalispell, Montana.
