IMMIGRANT ELIGIBILITY FOR TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE;
TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE/CASE MANAGEMENT MANUAL REVISION #33: SECTIONS 0205.040.00 THROUGH 0205.040.05.25 |
DISCUSSION: |
Effective August 1, 2003 Missouri Rule
13 CSR 40-2.310(1)(B) changed Temporary Assistance eligibility for individuals
who are not citizens of the United States. Eligibility of non-citizens
for Temporary Assistance is now based on whether the non-citizen is a qualified
immigrant and the immigrant's date of entry into the United States.
The previous categories of immigrants permanently residing in the United
States under color of law (PRUCOL) no longer apply. The immigrant
policy for Temporary Assistance is now the same as the policy for Medical
assistance for Families (MAF).
NOTE: The name of the Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS) has been changed to the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS). |
