TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE/CASE MANAGEMENT MANUAL REVISION #42:  GRANDPARENTS AS FOSTER PARENTS (GAFP) PRORATION TABLES; APPENDIX M
DISCUSSION:
Funding for the Grandparents as Foster Parents (GAFP) program is subject to available appropriations per state law. The 2003 legislature appropriated funds to pay GAFP payments at 25% of the current foster care payment.  As a result of the grant amount changes, the proration charts have been updated.

The new proration charts are an attachmentpdf file to this memorandum and have been added to the on-line Temporary Assistance manual.
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Discuss this memorandum with appropriate staff.
  • Discard any existing GAFP Proration Tables.
  • File the 11/03 GAFP Proration Tables in Appendix M of the Temporary Assistance manual.
  • Begin using the 11/03 version of the GAFP Proration Tables.
