The purpose of this memorandum is to inform
staff of the following adjustments that have been made in the IMU5 system.
These adjustments effect all Income Maintenance programs
that are entered through this system.

IMU5 will only accept state abbreviations
listed by the United States Postal Service. If an incorrect
abbreviation is used, the system will highlight the error and it must be
corrected before staff can leave the screen.

Any telephone number listed in the IAPP system
will now transfer to the IMU5 system. In the IMU5 system, this telephone
number (field 8B) can now be changed when the participant provides new
information. If the participant does not have a telephone number
staff must enter 10 zeros in the telephone number field.
NOTE: The telephone number in
the IMU5 system will now transfer onto the Case Management Worksheet (FIM31483-01).
It will appear below the social security number. As staff has contact
with the participants, these telephone numbers may need to be updated.
