DISCUSSION:

The purpose of this memorandum is to discuss the location of IM cases when the claimant has a guardian or conservator responsible for decision making.

For MC+/Medicaid and Adult Cash Assistance:

All cases (including vendor) with a guardian or conservator may have the case record maintained in the county where the claimant resides or where the guardian resides.  The two counties involved should work together to determine where it is most beneficial to maintain the case.  The mailing address will be that of the guardian or conservator.

For Temporary Assistance:

The case must be maintained in the county where the participant resides.
