CHILD SUPPORT OBLIGATION DISPLAYED ON THE FAMIS INTERFACE SCREEN
NECESSARY ACTION:
Effective November 14, 2005, the obligation amount displayed on the Child Support Income and Child Support Expense (FMK2) screen in FAMIS is changed. The obligation amount displays the full obligation rather than being divided equally among the children receiving child support when more than one child receives support from the same non-custodial parent. The full obligation amount is displayed for each child for whom the non-custodial parent is paying child support.
Previously, if the child support was $400 total for two children, $200 would show for each child.
NEW SCREEN DISPLAY
Please note the Obligation amount is no longer divided equally among the children receiving child support. Use the information displayed on the Child Support Income and Child Support Expense when budgeting child support income and expense for the EU.
