NEW FAMIS INCOME SOURCE CODES
DISCUSSION:
Effective April 1, 2005, new FAMIS income source codes were added to the Income (FMX0) screen. The code, description, and when to use each income source code is included in the chart below:

Enter this code when an individual receives a payment for the Refugee Cash Assistance program. |
FAMIS determines if the income is included or excluded according to the following chart.

*Severance pay is entered as unearned income, but is earned income for the Child Care Program. FAMIS knows to count this source of income as earned income for the Child Care Program.
Enter income type code UI on the Income (FMX0) screen for both severance
pay and Refugee Cash Assistance in FAMIS, and then enter the appropriate
source code.
