INCREASE IN AVERAGE PRIVATE PAY NURSING RATE FOR TRANSFER OF PROPERTY CASES
MANUAL REVISION #1: DEC 73 REQUIREMENTS – SECTION 1040.020.40 DETERMINING THE PENALTY PERIOD
DISCUSSION:
The average private pay nursing care rate is increased from $2,758 to $2,852. Use $2,852 to determine the number of months of ineligibility for vendor level services for applications taken on or after January 1, 2006.
The Average Private Pay rate in the on-line manual, DEC 73 REQUIREMENTS, Section 1040.020.40 Determining the Penalty Period, is updated with the January 1, 2006 rate.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Discuss this memorandum with appropriate staff.
- Use $2,852 as the average private pay rate effective for applications taken on or after January 1, 2006.
