SUBJECT:
TRANSFER OF REMAINING ACTIVE CASES IN A WORK ACTIVITY TO DIVISION OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT (DWD)
DISCUSSION:
Effective January 17, 2006, the remaining active cases in a work activity are being transferred to DWD. These cases include individuals with an open refugee component and mandatory individuals whose only open component is treatment and support. Family Support Division staff are to provide assistance to both individuals and DWD/sub-contractor staff, as needed. As partners with these individuals, we will provide information as requested as well as provide information about available community resources. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth and seamless as possible.
The following computer changes will occur for these individuals:
- Open components will be ended with the end reason of T - Converted to DWD;
- The Work Requirement code will be changed from M to D; and
- The “REF - Refugee/Resettlement Agency” and “TSA - Treatment/Support Activity” components will be blocked.
Supportive service payments must be entered before close of business on January 20, 2006 for these individuals or the payments will have to be issued through SAM II.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
- Enter necessary supportive service payments for these individuals by Friday, January 20, 2006.
