DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to clarify existing policy regarding qualifying work quarters for immigrants that are lawfully admitted for permanent residence.

Allow work quarters earned by the spouse of the immigrant during their marriage if they remained married or the spouse is deceased.
- Do not deem work quarters earned by a spouse prior to marriage.
Food Stamp Manual sections 1105.010.10.25.05 and 1105.010.10.25.10 are revised to clarify this policy.
