DISCUSSION:
Effective January 13, 2013 the Food Stamp disregard message in FAMIS "Simplified reporting EU, disregard actions? (Y/N)" has been changed to "Simp Rept EU, Do you want to Take Action on this Change? (Y/N)". A yes (Y) answer will cause the system to take action on the change and a no (N) answer will cause the system to disregard the change. Refer to the Food Stamp Manual sections 1140.005.10 through 1140.005.20.70 for information on changes that must be authorized and those that are disregarded.
NOTE: With this change, a yes (Y) answer will now cause the system to act on the change. A no (N) answer will now cause the system to disregard (not act) on the change. This is opposite of what answering yes and no caused the system to do before this change.
The following FAMIS User Guides have been updated with the revised disregard question:
- DEEMING IMMIGRANT SPONSOR INCOME AND RESOURCES
- REMOVING A SUPERCASE OR ELIGIBILITY UNIT MEMBER
- REMOVING A DECEASED FOOD STAMP SUPERCASE/ELIGIBILITY UNIT MEMBER
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with all appropriate staff.
