MANUAL REVISIONS #18
1120.010.00
1120.011.00
DISCUSSION:
Effective March 18, 2013, staff may access the Applicant Summary for applications completed and submitted through the Internet. Unlike the WB102 Web Application Summary, the Applicant Summary may be retrieved and printed prior to sending the information to FAMIS. This memorandum discusses the following information.
- Accessing the Internet Applicant Summary;
- Food Stamp Name, Address, and Signature Only Internet Applications; and
- Food Stamp Manual, User Guide, and Questions & Answers Revisions and Additions.
Accessing the Internet Applicant Summary
The link for the Internet Applicant Summary is located on the Family Support Division Intranet Main Page under "Quick Links" on the right side of the screen.
To access the Internet Applicant Summary:
- click the Internet Applicant Summary link under "Quick Links"
- enter the 10-digit application number in the "Enter Application Number" field
NOTE: The Application Number is located on the Web Application Search (FWH0) screen in FAMIS.
- click on "Get Applicant Summary"
The Applicant Summary contains information the applicant entered on the Internet application. If the applicant failed to answer a question, the Applicant Summary will state "Participant did not enter (type) any information."
EXAMPLE: The participant failed to enter information concerning absent parents, the information will display as "Participant did not enter any absent parent information."
The same information is displayed as "Absent Parent (AP) Information: NONE" on the WB102 Web Application Summary in FAMIS.
Food Stamp Name, Address, and Signature Only Internet Applications
Food Stamp applications submitted with a name, address, and signature only cannot be registered in FAMIS until enough information is known to identify the head of the EU and assign a departmental client number (DCN). The Applicant Summary for these applications may now be printed, retained in a folder, and tracked.
Take the following steps for name, address, and signature only Internet applications:
- Print the Internet Applicant Summary, retain in a folder, and track the application for timely processing.
- Send an Appointment Letter (IM-31) to the EU scheduling an interview to meet application processing times frames.
- If the EU does not appear or call-in for the interview, send a Notice of Missed Interview (IM-31M) to the EU the day after the date of the scheduled interview.
- If the applicant EU fails to contact FSD within 30 days, withdraw the application on the Web Application Details (FWH1) screen in FAMIS, and send an Action Taken on Your Food Stamp Case (IM-112) notice.
OR
If the EU contacts the office within 30 days, conduct the interactive interview and enter the application request using the date of the original application.
This procedure aligns name, address, and signature only Internet applications with the policy stated in Food Stamp Manual section 1120.010.00.
Food Stamp Manual, User Guide, and Questions & Answers Revisions and Additions
Food Stamp Manual sections 1120.010.00 and 1120.011.00 are revised to include the procedure for Food Stamp name, address, and signature only Internet applications and the use of the Internet Applicant Summary.
The FAMIS user guides Accepting Internet Applications and Processing Internet Applications are revised to include this information. Web Application Questions & Answers has been revised.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
