DISCUSSION:
The average private pay nursing care rate is increased from $4,282 to $4,563. Use $4,563 to determine the number of months of ineligibility (penalty period) for vendor level services for applications taken on or after January 1, 2013.
The Average Private Pay rate in the Income Maintenance Manual section 1040.020.40 Determining the Penalty Period, is updated with the January 1, 2013 rate.
NECESSARY ACTION:
- Review this memorandum with appropriate staff
- Use $4,563 as the average private pay rate effective for applications taken on or after January 1, 2013.
