DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memo is to introduce changes made to the Department of Social Services (DSS) website about the Medicare Cost Savings Programs—also known as Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB) and Specified Low Income Beneficiary (SLMB). Previously, individuals accessed information for these programs through separate links. The link is now combined under "Medicare Cost Savings Program" to better illustrate the differences between the two programs.
To access this information, go to the Missouri Department of Social Services at https://dss.mo.gov. Select the "Health Care" tab at the top of the page, and choose "Medicare Cost Savings Programs". This site includes links to the printable application and review forms specifically for the Medicare Cost Savings Program.
NOTE: Continue to accept the MO HealthNet application (IM-1MA) form as an application for the Medicare Cost Savings Programs. Applicants do not have to use the Application for Medicare Savings for Qualified Beneficiaries or Specified Low-income Beneficiaries (IMQMB/SLMB) form to apply for these programs.
The update contains no change in policy.

- Access the DSS website to view the Medicare Cost Sharing Program information.
