DISCUSSION:

The purpose of this memorandum is to inform staff of changes to the CARS Discovery system for Temporary Assistance (TA) purchases that are restricted or occur at an unauthorized location. Refer to memorandum, IM-78 dated 08/23/13 for more information related to this change in policy.

Current procedures for establishing claims remain the same. The only changes to the process are outlined in the attachment, Claims for TA Restricted Purchase and Unauthorized Location User Guide.

CARS-5 Demand Letters for the Temporary Assistance (TA) program can be viewed and reprinted through Mobius from Report FCLD500292 and FCLD500293.
