DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this memorandum is to announce the threshold amount established by the Social Security Administration (SSA) to determine eligibility under Section 1619 of the Social Security Act has increased to $3,031 monthly effective January 1, 2016.
The threshold amount is used by the Family Support Division to identify Medicaid eligibility under Section 1619(B) of the Social Security Act in FAMIS. When determining continued MO HealthNet eligibility under Section 1619(B) of the Social Security Act, there is no income limit for participants granted SSA 1619 status.
