COST OF AFFORDABLE INSURANCE
 
DISCUSSION:
Effective July 1, 1999, the definition of affordable health insurance for MC+ children in the premium group (income above 225% of the federal poverty level) is increased from $86 to a premium of $90 or less per month per family.  Affordable is still defined as 133% of the current monthly average premium in the state's Missouri Consolidated Health Plan.

The premium for MC+ children in the premium group will be increased to $68 per month as stated in Memorandum IM-#71, dated June 2, 1999.  The IM-32PRM and IM-33MCC have been revised to reflect this change.  The IM-32 PRM is available in electronic version only.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Share this memorandum with appropriate staff.

  • File the revised IM-33 MCC and IM-32 PRM in the Forms  Manual.

    •  
  • An initial distribution of the IM-33 MCC is being sent to each county office.

    •  
  • Begin using the revised IM-33 MCC and IM-32 PRM as of July 1, 1999.
