When a child enters an eligible MACC living arrangement through DMH/DYS/Juvenile Court placement and is already in active Medicaid status, the caseworker will:
- Child receiving MAF (with or without Temporary Assistance) or MC+ for children
- Have parent, guardian, or custodial agency sign MACC application in accordance with procedures in Section 0955.010.00 Medicaid Coverage (MACC).
- Complete an application/eligibility statement form based on MAF criteria used for MACC.
- Establish eligibility for MACC and follow procedures for application in Section 0955.015.10 Initial Application Processing (MACC).
- Send IM-80 regarding the removal of the child from the Temporary Assistance cash grant, if applicable. An IM-80 is also required for MAF or MC+ for children, if the child’s removal from the assistance group results in ineligibility of a parent or sibling for Medicaid/MC+.
- Remove the child from the MAF/MC+ case and Temporary Assistance cash grant, if applicable.
- Child receiving MA
- Have parent, guardian, or custodial agency sign MACC application in accordance with procedures in Section 0955.010.00 Medicaid Coverage (MACC).
- Complete an application/eligibility statement form based on MAF criteria used for MACC.
- Establish eligibility for MACC and follow procedures for applications in Section 0955.015.10 Initial Application Processing (MACC).
- Close MA case and open MACC case.
