Closed or terminated claims may be reinstated when:
- the EU, or a member of the EU, reapplies and is found eligible for food stamp benefits
- circumstances have changed for the EU, making collection possible
- the case can be certified for TOP, or
- the EU agrees to make payment
Notify the Food Stamp Program and Policy Unit if a claim meets the criteria to be reinstated. The claim will be reviewed and appropriate action taken. If the claim is reinstated and EU is receiving food stamp benefits, recoupment is initiated. If a repayment agreement is entered, a billing statement is generated.
