Households receiving Food Stamps and Free and Reduced Lunch as of March 31, 2020 will not need to apply. The Family Support Division will use a Direct Certification report from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to determine eligibility for Food Stamp households that received March SNAP benefits. These households will receive P-EBT benefits automatically on their current EBT card.
All other households will need to request benefits and provide the state with information needed to issue benefits on EBT card to the household through the FAMIS eligibility system. An application is available for the household to complete.
