IM-125  07/09/01 EBT SYSTEM OUTAGE

EBT SYSTEM OUTAGE
 
DISCUSSION:
An EBT system outage to upgrade the system is scheduled for July 18, 2001, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.  This upgrade requires bringing down part of the EBT system. 

The system will be unable to process Point of Service (POS) transactions, however manual vouchers and voice authorizations will be available during this outage.  Transactions, including balance inquiries and voucher authorizations, cannot be processed.  Participants will receive the message "host unavailable" when attempting to complete transactions during this time.

 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Discuss this memorandum with all appropriate staff. 
  • Explain the EBT outages to participants who contact the county office regarding the availability of the EBT system.
