ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS ON THE TANF DATA REPORTS
 
DISCUSSION:
This memorandum is to advise that three additional questions have been added to the monthly TANF Data Reports (pdf, 15 pages, 310 kb) beginning September 2001 for August Temporary Assistance cases.  The growing concern of assisting families with certain issues has prompted the additional questions to better understand the issues and what resources are needed to assist these challenges.

The three additional questions address the following concerns:

  • Substance Abuse Usage
  • Mental Health Issues
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Domestic Violence Issues
The information can possibly be found in the Personal Information Record, (IM-309), the narrative, or from the Transmittal Referral Form, (IM-311).  Additional information may be indicated from doctor's statements, exparte' or other documents, school records or statements from the individual or other household members. 

Attached to this memorandum is a copy of the new TANF Data Report.  This new form may be found on Intranet.
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
  • Use current Intranet TANF Data Reports beginning in September.
