Those counties who continue to do Direct Job Placement for food stamp mandatory and voluntary work registrants should create a local referral form.  It continues to be appropriate to refer both Able Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs) and non-ABAWDs who are food stamp mandatory work registrants to local employers for possible employment.

Memorandum IM-#171 dated 11-30-99 instructed IM Case Management staff to discontinue the use of the IM-18.  The form also contains incorrect information regarding Medicaid benefits.

• Review this memorandum with all necessary staff.

• Cease use of the IM-18.

• Dispose of all IM-18s in stock.
