| Premium collection for the Medical Assistance
for Workers with Disabilities (MAWD) program that was to begin in September
2002 has been delayed. The system work for the notification and collection
of the premiums has not been completed. Until the work is finished,
staff should continue to follow the procedures outlined in memorandum
IM-78 for MAWD recipients in the premium group.
The procedures for the premium collection have not changed they are only postponed. At this time, continue to use the IXIX and IPAR screen for verification of eligibility dates. Until the system work is complete a MAWD premium client has Medicaid coverage for any dates shown on IXIX. Once the system work is complete staff will be notified of how to verify coverage based on payment of the premium and the date the first premium collection notices will be sent. |
