NUTRITIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
DISCUSSION:
This memorandum is to inform staff that the Nutritional Assistance Program is now obsolete.   This program was initiated in April 1998 to assist certain groups of noncitizens legally in the United States who were disqualified from receipt of food stamps.   This assistance is no longer necessary. 

Effective immediately this program is now obsolete.  Discontinue any discussions of this program with participants.
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Discuss this memorandum with appropriate staff.
  • Discontinue the use of codes N, O, and P in field 13F.  These codes will be removed from the IMU5 system and the IMU5 code sheet.
  • Discontinue any discussions with participants about this program.
