DISCUSSION:
This is to clarify that MC+ healthcare coverage under Extended Women's Health Services will cover pap test and pelvic exam only in conjunction with testing and treatment of a sexually transmitted disease. 

Section 0925.050.05 Covered Women's Health Services (EWHS) has been revised to clarify this issue.

Any contacts from recipients concerning covered services or obtaining medical care should be referred to Recipient's Services at 1-800-392-2161.
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Review this memorandum with appropriate staff.
  • File the revised pages in the Family Healthcare Manual.
