FOREIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION
MANUAL REVISION #24: CHAPTER XII, SECTION VII, PAGES 21-24
 
DISCUSSION:
This memorandum announces changes to the over the phone foreign language interpretation contract. 

Language Line®:

The Missouri Office of Administration awarded Language Line Services (LLS) a statewide contract.  Consequently, we must move from our current agreement with LLS to the state contract.  We will continue to get the same services but at a reduced rate.  Switching to the state contract will require staff to use different toll-free and company client numbers to access the service. 

Effective August 1, 2002, take the following actions:

  • Call 1-877-261-6608 to reach Language Line®; AND
  • Use our new organization client ID number.  Obtain the confidential number through supervisory channels, or refer to the revised "LLS Quick Reference Guide"; AND
  • Discard obsolete "LLS Quick Reference Guides".
 
NECESSARY ACTION:
  • Discuss this memorandum with all appropriate staff.
  • File the revised Chapter XII, pages 21-24 in the manual.
  • Effective August 1, 2002, use the new Language Line® toll-free and organization ID numbers.
